Our Orchestra
As a community orchestra, the orchestra maintains its aim of being a "friendly group of musicians with a shared passion for making music".
We enjoy playing a wide variety of music ranging from popular classical, film themes and musicals. We pride ourselves on being an open admission orchestra, and welcome new players of all orchestral instruments without audition. Musical Director Jan Modelski
Jan Modelski is a full time professional musician. He is the founder of Modelski Music based in Chester and is also Musical Director of several other local amateur orchestras and big bands.
He teaches school age and adult students instruments to performance level and specialises in violin, piano, percussion and trumpet. His style of leadership makes rehearsals great fun whilst developing the musical skills of all players. |
